The structural motifs known as 1,2,3-triazoles have enhanced stability and can be produced using the well-established copper catalyzed click chemistry methodology. Benzofuran is an important heterocyclic molecule with remarkable bioactivity, distinguished by the fusion of a benzene ring and a furan ring system. A wide array of benzofuran derivatives can be found in both naturally occurring and artificially synthesized collections. These heterocylics play an important role as pharmacophores, their hybridization of two or more of these molecules leads to an enhanced biological activity. Based on a comprehensive review of the literature, it has been established that the these heterocyclic compounds serve as significant pharmacophores. The combination or hybridization of two or more of these molecules results in an amplified biological activity.
