This study sets out to investigate the role of radio stations in mobilizing women to take active part in their political affairs of their environments. Konshisha local government of Benue state was selected to be the target audience and sun rays 103.1 located in the same local government was selected out of many radio stations in the state. For data to be effectively administered, the researcher has adopted questionnaire as the major instrument. The questionnaire is a list of questions designed to elicit information from respondents by filling in the answers in the spaces provided. In conclusion, the researcher concludes that radio is a very important tool in mobilizing women for political participation in a democratic dispensation. However, Radio stations should focus more on the challenges hindering women from taking active part in politics. Therefore, such socio-cultural issues as stigmatization, lack of finance/support, stereotypes like women are second class citizens must be properly addressed by radio broadcast for women to have their place in the politics of the nation.
