At the heart of vehicular comfort and stability lies the ingenious suspension system, a marvel of engineering designed to absorb and mitigate vibrations stemming from the varied topography of road surfaces. This sophisticated mechanism performs its crucial role while maintaining the vehicle's equilibrium, steering precisionand overall handling prowess. In the realm of lightweight vehicles, coil springs often take centre stage as the preferred suspension element. Springs, those remarkable repositories of mechanical energy, possess an inherent elasticity that allows them to deform under applied forces—be it through twisting, pulling, or stretching—and gracefully return to their original configuration once the force dissipates. This study endeavours to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the load-bearing capacity of suspension springs in light vehicles, exploring the potential of various materials. Our investigation delves into a comparative study, meticulously modelling and analyzing primary suspension springs crafted from two distinct materials: low carbon-structural steel and chrome vanadium steel. Through this rigorous examination, we aim to elucidate the optimal design parameter.
