Inhaltsangabe

The aim of this work is to problematize and discuss the environment in educational institutions in a different way. To do this, we created the RPGBIO environment game, based on the rules of the Role Playing Game. In this way, the players (students) have the freedom to create their characters with all the characteristics they want and also with unlimited possibilities of interacting with the other players within the imaginary world where the game's adventures take place. In addition, the RPG has a MASTER who is the narrator of the story, responsible for creating the challenges that the players have to face. For this game, the setting where the RPG adventures take place is the Pampa Biome, more specifically the Vacacaí River in the municipality of São Gabriel, RS. In this way, biology content, nature conservation and selective waste collection are worked on in an interactive and fun way. The methodology applied is part of the dialectical participatory approach, in which players (students), in the scenarios presented, take on interpretative roles and, as active subjects, get involved in discussions, identifying and finding solutions to environmental problems.
