Recent past has witnessed a sharp decrease in total factor productivity, in spite of potential use of inputs and management practices, mainly due to deprivation in soil health .It is believed that chemical properties of soil need more attention as it directly influence biological health by regulating the movement of water , air, EC pH and temperature in soil.
