Scientometrics is a type of research method used in library and information Science. It is utilizes quantitative analysis and statistics to describe patterns of publication within a given field or body of literature. Research may use Scientometrics method of evaluation to determine the influence of a single writer, for example, or to describe the relationship between two or more writers or works. It also refers to the use of mathematical and statistical methods to study and identify patterns in the usage of materials and services within a library, or to analyze the historical development of a specific body of literature, especially its authorship, publication, and use. It also provides the trend of Open access Journal publishing in the field of LISc in terms of language, top-level domain, country and time. Furthermore, it helps in determining the highly cited journals, ranking of prolific authors, productive pattern, journals impact factor & other significant details of the journal under study. Moreover, the book has been immensely useful for libraries.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Herr Satish V Dandge, PhD-Forschungsstipendiat, Dr. BAMU Aurangabad. Er hat einen B.Com- und MLISc-Abschluss und promoviert an der BAMU Aurangabad. Er hat zwei SET-Abschlüsse in Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft. Für seine Doktorarbeit wurde er mit dem SARTHI-Stipendium ausgezeichnet. Er hat ein Buch mit dem Titel Content Analysis of DRTC Publications und mehrere Forschungsarbeiten veröffentlicht.
