The management and treatment of hospital waste (HW) are of major concern because of its potential hazard to human health and the environment, especially in developing countries. Malpractice of these wastes can result in environmental and occupational health risks. An efficient and effective management system is a must to reduce the potential health hazard that can be occurred due to this waste. Our study focuses on the present condition of the hospitals and the mismanagement present in terms of handling of wastes among the hospitals in Faridpur city.
