The term "nutraceutical" refers to nutritional supplements sold to cure or prevent disease. There is no regulatory definition for it. As a result, a "nutraceutical" is defined as any item that can be categorized as a food or a dietary component and provides medical or health benefits, such as illness prevention and treatment. Food is referred to as "functional food" when cooked or prepared with "scientific intelligence," with or without knowing how or why it is used. As a result, functional food supplies the vitamins, fats, proteins, and carbs that the body requires to function correctly.
