Cognitive radio (CR) has become a promising technology for enhancing spectrum efficiency through adaptive reconfiguration of radio communication parameters in dynamically changing communication settings. At the same time, rapidly evolving technology has allowed software defined radio (SDR) platforms to have opportunistic access to radio spectrum to hardware to produce cognitive radio algorithms.Cognitive radios are said to be one-of-a-kind, software-defined, artificially intelligent radios that can change operational parameters including frequency domains, modulation type, and power transmission without requiring hardware changes. Cognitive radios may actively search the available spectrum and dynamically adjust their operations to end their broadcast and avoid interference with existing users due to their characteristics.
