Most experimental studies focus more on energy consumption. In studies where economic growth has been used as one of the influential variables on energy consumption, the results show a positive effect of economic growth on energy consumption. In the case of studies examining the relationship between energy prices and energy consumption, the results indicate that there is a negative relationship between price and energy consumption.In the present study, an attempt is made to investigate the effect of globalization on energy intensity using time series data during the period 2006-10. It should be noted that in this study, unlike other studies, instead of energy consumption, the focus is on energy intensity and the simultaneous effects of globalization, energy carrier prices, energy efficiency and per capita production on energy intensity are investigated.
