Inhaltsangabe

We are witnessing a significant increase in the frequency of caesarean sections in the world due to a change in its indications. The concern to deliver a child in the best possible condition has seen the indications for the upper route increase in crescendo. Several studies have shown that the cesarean section rate in a maternity hospital is not only related to the characteristics of the patients, but also to the intrinsic characteristics of the maternity hospital or the obstetrician.Caesarean section has become in the minds of many obstetricians an instrument for fetal preservation. However, despite the large number of cesarean sections, the perinatal mortality rate (deaths of children under 7 days of age plus stillbirths) has remained stable over the last 20 years. The frequency of indications then poses difficulties of classification. This can be done according to the chronology in relation to the beginning of labor, according to the maternal, fetal or mixed interest...The delivery of pregnant women through prenatal consultation allows for early diagnosis of maternal pathologies during pregnancy, reducing even more the rate of emergency cesarean sections, which are a source of complications.
