Inhaltsangabe

Currently, the impact of 3D printing is very pronounced in the area of orthosis and prosthesis and is making huge waves in the medical industry. This book contains the public perceptions on the use of 3D printing technology in orthosis and prosthesis using unified theory of acceptance and acceptance to use the technology (UTAUT) model. This discussion includes socio demographic data and 7 other components which include performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, hedonic motivation, price value, facilitating condition and behavioural intention. Cross sectional study was conducted among general public using random sampling. Self-administered questionnaire was distributed and collected which were analyzed using SPSS software. All the independent variables (performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, hedonic motivation, price value, facilitating condition) showed significant association to behavioural intention to use the 3D printing orthosis and prosthesis. This study will be initial steps in public acceptance in this new technology and create a platform on upcoming development on orthosis and prosthesis.
