The Federal Participation Act (Bundesteilhabegesetz, BTHG), which came into force in 2017, poses major challenges for social work actors, also due to a reform process lasting several years until 2023. This book deals with these challenges and focuses in particular on integration assistance and the concept of case management, which is widely used in this area. Due to the high degree of topicality, the first task is to work out a uniform conceptual apparatus and to harmonize the concept of case management with the requirements of the BTHG. In doing so, this book also reveals the extent to which research and practice still have a need for action and discussion.
