Poly(styrene)-poly(methyl methacylate)-tetrahydrofuran coatings, poly(styrene)-poly(methyl methacylate)-toluene coatings, poly(styrene)-poly(methyl methacylate)-ethylbenzene coatings, and poly(styrene)-poly(ethylene glycol)-chlorobenzene coatings are experimentally designed in order to minimize the residual solvent in single and multilayer coatings. The coatings were prepared using the solution casting technique. The depth profiling study has been done using confocal laser Raman spectroscopy in order to determine depth-dependent concentration profiles in various coatings dried under various conditions. The morphological study has been done using scanning electron microscopy in order to check the final structure of the prepared coatings.
