The design and implementation of catchment-based erosion control and sediment management strategies are frequently hampered by the lack of data on both erosion rates and sediment yields. In this book, the rate of sediment yield, transport and deposition is modeled by using three different approaches for one of the data scarce region of Ethiopian Rift Valley Lake Basin. More than two alternative sediment yield estimation models are developed and can be applicable for other data scarce region of the world.
