Cloud computing has revolutionized the way people do things. Recent developments in cloud computing have offered users, and particularly students, with vast opportunities to explore the cloud and make the best out of it. More often than not, students have a lot of electronic resources in their hand and while the traditional storage methods are strill in use, their rate of disappointment is equally quite high.This research explored the various opportunities offered by the cloud and how students can make the most out of it as they go about their studies.Some of the platforms of cloud computing including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS have been explored in details. Additionally, the author has explored te evolution of cloud computing, the challenges faced by students as they use these services and the various options they have in dealing with these challenges. Indeed this work will go a long way in helping students and other users of cloud computing platforms to make the most out of the opportunities presented.
