The brain is the most complex organ in living beings. The complexity of the brain has always overwhelmed researchers, psychologists, and scientists. They are trying to map its behavior right from its evolution but only little success has been marked up till today. On similar lines, we have concentrated on the most basic unit of the brain. Spikes are generated whenever the potential of the membrane of a neuron reaches the threshold value. Applying the concepts of Information theory, Monte Carlo technique, and Pearson system of frequency curves to the interspike interval distribution led to some exciting facts.

Sudheer Kumar Sharma is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur. He did his h.D. from the School of Computers and Systems Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. His research interest is in Modeling and Simulation of Stochastic Systems and Data Science.
