Mobile technologies are among the most recent innovations in the electronic world, and are viewed as appropriate tools that can transform pedagogy, break barriers associated with fixed learning technologies, and addressing the limitations inherent to e-learning. However, the factors that influence their adoption and utilization as tools for learning in Kenyan universities have received little attention in research. The purpose of this book was to investigate the factors that influence the adoption and utilization of mobile technologies as teaching and learning tools in Kenyan universities. The book has demonstrated that factors such as age, gender and attitude had statistically significant influence on the adoption and utilization of mobile technologies among students. Further, teaching staff had had sufficient technical proficiency in use the devices, but require proficiency in utilizing them as devices for instructions. The author proposes that Kenya builds a prototype for a mobile-based learning management system for its universities, while addressing the gaps of pedagogical proficiency among the university academic staff.
