In the processes of teaching and learning of the construction of tables and graphs, some difficulties are presented, which has led to a reflection on how to transform the way of teaching statistics, so that students feel motivated, this is the reason why the essence of this research is constituted, with the aim of improving teaching practice. The research aims to analyse the processes of teaching and learning in the exploratory analysis of data, through the project methodology. The study was carried out at an undergraduate level with engineering students, with a qualitative research approach, since it intends to explore and contextualize an educational reality; in particular, to describe the interactions that occur in the classroom; its implementation and evaluation allowed to describe the role of the teacher and the students; likewise, the structural elements of some graphics included in the projects presented by the students were characterized.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

I have a degree in Mathematics and Physics, a Civil Engineering degree and a Master's degree in Mathematical Education. Currently I work as a full time teacher in the Department of Basic Sciences at the University of Santo Tomás, in Tunja, Boyacá, Colombia.
