After detection, correction may be accomplished depending on the type and extent of the procedural accident. The next step is to re-evaluate the prognosis of the involved tooth. This is very essential as it may affect the entire treatment plan and may also involve dentolegal consequences. If a mistake will affect the outcome of the case, the patient must be informed and the mistake must be noted in the record along with a statement that the patient was informed of the mistake and this should be followed as cardinal rule.
