The book tries to explain the synergy between globalization and poverty in Nigeria. The general believe with the introduction of neoliberal economic policies as driven by the process of globalization are that prosperity is assured under the auspices of the process. However, extant experiences and data in the book have shown differently. The book tries to show that the process of globalization via the neoliberal economic policies have not provided the panacea for economic growth and development or poverty reduction. Rather, the process has exacerbated poverty and taken it to a new level.
