Watermarking protects the image from infringements without distortion it, since the embedded watermark is invisible to the human eyes but detectable by computer programs. Many fields need to use watermarking such as: in the medical field, to hide the personal patients' data, or to protect the critical regions in medical images, in the military field, to protect the soldiers' documents, and to investigate the creditability of the images and in FBI, to detect and recover the tampered regions in the image.
