The present book is an outcome of research work conducted to understand the status of marginalized women in the unorganized sector. It is an edited version of the research report funded and presented to Indian Council of Social Science Research as part of the Short Duration Research Project. The research was conducted on marginalized women belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes in three sectors namely Construction Sector, Domestic Sector and Agricultural Sector in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. The book is spread over different sections consisting of Introduction, Research Methodology, Data Analysis and Interpretation, Major Findings, Suggestions and Conclusion besides References and Interview Schedule. The book provides an insight on the status of marginalized women in the unorganized sector with special focus on their socio- economic status and working conditions. This book will be of immense value to diverse audience which includes Sociologists, Social workers, NGOs, Researchers, Policy Makers and Educators involved in promoting women empowerment.
