The book presents details about "Burnishing Process", which is a cold forming finishing process done after machining. It is the masters thesis work. Burnishing process helps to improve surface finish as well as micro hardness in one step; which makes it unique for engineering applications in finishing such as for hydraulic and pneumatic sealing in valves, pistons and cylinders. The experimental part is presented using Taguchi's Design of experiments and orthogonal arrays using MINITAB software. Chandrashekhar Jawalkar is a faculty in Production and Industrial Engineering at PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh, since 2003. He has served in industry for seven years as Manager Production. He has completed dual masters in Engineering and Management and Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee. He has published 3 books an more than 70 research papers.
