Fuzzy image processing is the collection of all approaches that understand, represent and process the images, their segments and features as fuzzy sets. Edge detection is a terminology in image processing that refers to algorithms which aim at identifying edges in an image. It is encountered in the areas of feature selection and feature extraction in Computer Vision. An edge detector accepts a digital image as input and produces an edge map as output. This book covers the application of this field to identify the edges in images.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Shamik Tiwari was born in India, in 1981. He has degree of Ph.D., M.E. and B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering. He has published more than 50 papers in national and international journals and guided 20 M.Tech. thesis and more than 100 B.Tech. projects during his 15 year of teaching career.
