In this doctoral work, conductive polymer nanocomposites (NPCs) based on block copolymers and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) were obtained. Two of the copolymers used are commercial: polystyrene-b-polybutadiene-b-polystyrene (SBS) triblocs, and polystyrene-b-polyethylene (SEBS). Two block copolymer/MWCNT systems were then obtained and studied for specific purposes. The results showed that both process and matrix modification can induce different material structures and can be favorable means for controlling the electrical conductivity of NPCs based on block copolymers and MWCNT.

He has a degree in Geography from the Federal University of Bahia - UFBA, where he took part in some research and extension groups during his undergraduate studies, such as Lugar Comum/PPG-AU (Postgraduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism), GEC/Faced (Research Group in Education, Communication and Technologies), and Ceafro/CEAO (Center for Afro-Oriental Studies).
