This research explores the knowledge, perceptions, and management of menstruation among female undergraduates of Edo State University, Iyamho, Nigeria. It highlights menstruation as a vital yet often misunderstood aspect of women's health, shaped by cultural beliefs, stigma, and varying access to hygiene resources. Using a descriptive cross-sectional design with 257 participants, the study assessed students' understanding, hygiene practices, and challenges in menstrual management. Findings revealed good overall knowledge and hygiene practices, with most respondents using sanitary pads and tracking their cycles. However, many reported dysmenorrhea, low health-seeking behavior, and occasional embarrassment due to social taboos. The book underscores the need for improved menstrual health education, open communication, and policy support to promote dignity, confidence, and wellbeing among young women.
