This study present details of a novel surgical device for retraction and in particular to an inflatable soft retractor. The retractor comprises of a hollow flexible cylindrical sleeve connected with inflatable members in ring form at its ends termed as proximal or inner ring and distal or outer ring capable of adjusting in radial dimensions. A pressure measuring instrument, air bulb and three way stop cock are also connected to the retractor through a non-inflatable plastic tubing.
