The book provides historical and literary evidence in Cameroon to buttress the view that History and Literature are not only bedfellows but that one actually makes the other. It vividly explains how literature and criticisms produced by Cameroonians have, partly, contributed in fueling democratic evolution in Cameroon from the 1950s until today. The book drives home the contention that literature will quest for democratic evolution forever and that democracy will continue to evolve but perfection will, forever, remain an illusion.
