Satellite creates a new era in the world of communication which is impossible without an antenna. Miniaturization technology makes it possible to build smaller satellites than those built 10 years ago with satisfactory performances. Small satellites are attractive due to their low cost, lower investments, time consumption while providing greater reliability and lower launch costs. An ideal explication to satellite communication requirements is provided by micro-strip antennae due to their light weight and low profile attributes. In this thesis, for small satellite communication system three S band patch antennae are adduced. The operational frequency for three antennae is also different. One of them is fabricated, and measured results are compared with simulated results. Finite Integration Technique based software Computer Simulation Software (CST) microwave studio and Finite Element Method solver based software High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) have been used for analysis process which are also commercially available.

Dr. Md. Samsuzzaman is a Post Doctoral Fellow of University Kebangsaan Malaysia. received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the Islamic University Kushtia, Bangladesh in 2005 and 2007, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia 2015.
