Isoniazid, otherwise known as isonicotinyl hydrazide, is an antibiotic used for the treatment of latent and active tuberculosis infections. It is one of the oldest drugs for the treatment of TB. Dr. Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Former Head, Dept. of Basic Science and Humanities, Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar, obtained his Ph.D. in Coordination Chemistry from School of Chemistry, Sambalpur University. He has published 33 research articles and 5 books. His focus of research interest is Coordination Chemistry.
