Scholarly communication is the process of creation, transformation, dissemination and preservation of knowledge related to research output. It is the most essential element of the research because which communicates with the global audience and helps to create a better society. The introduction of the concept of Open Access helps to increase the scholarly communication more wisely throughout the world. Present work is a bibliometric study of authorship pattern of open access Journals in social sciences published in India during 2011 to 2015. The main objective of this study is to identify the research growth of Indian open access social science research articles and their authorship pattern.
