Spaces: Design & Formation: Design and Formation - Hardcover

Globalization has forced companies to find more effective ways to be competitive. One way is through building a strong, readily identifiable corporate image. Here, architects play a key role, as do design professionals. Both bring a vital sense of creativity to meeting their clients’ needs. Good commercial design is not only beneficial to the business, but to the community as well, especially projects that are consistent with the philosophy of sustainability. Spaces: Design and Formation offers a rich sampling of commercial design solutions driven by talent and imagination. Included are examples of contemporary designs that enhance the urban landscape while blending with the existing environment, along with imaginative examples of existing buildings that have been converted into fashionable shops, stores, restaurants, and galleries. The projects employ bold combinations of textures and colors and utilize both new and conventional materials. Over 200 stunning color photographs show these well-designed commercial spaces from an architectural point of view.
