Inhaltsangabe

Poetic images address the fragility of our marine ecosystem

Blood vessels like avenues, wing fins, fish scales, as if old masters had etched them, ink blots, swim bladders, still filled with the breath of the fish. The artist, who works under the pseudonym K49814 weaves the endless filaments of the fish industry into these (wounded) delicacies like sacred embroidery. The deadly, ocean-emptying, man-made mesh that stands in opposition to the filaments that run in magnificent nets through the cosmos and through all life forms on our planet, enabling a constant exchange of information and will – life. This book aims to help unknot the destructive meshes and enter into the process of communication in this grand tissue of being.
