Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Burkhard Schnepel ist Professor für Ethnologie und Direktor des Zentrums für Interdisziplinäre Regionalstudien an der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. Neben Tourismus und Kulturerbe gilt sein Forschungsinteresse u.a. dem Indischen Ozean, Ritualen, sowie dem sakralen Königtum.

Shingo Shimada (Dr. phil.) ist Professor für Modernes Japan mit sozialwissenschaftlichem Schwerpunkt an der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf.
