The work examines the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code and that of the Criminal Procedure Act as they relate to the powers of the Nigerian Police for comparison. It also attempt to contrast them, as this will enable Law Students and other readers understand the comparison and contrast of both Codes so that differences are made clear.

Yusuf Musa is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Private & Islamic Law, University of Abuja, Nigeria. He attended the Nigerian Law School, Abuja, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Nigeria. A PhD candidate in Islamic Law.
