Already many researches have taken place in Image compression with the use of wavelets. Still there is a demand for better compression with the use of wavelet variants. This book therefore aims at the research issues related to the usage of Wavelet variants like Multiwavelets, Waveletfootprints, and Contourlets for better image compression.
