Life is not romantic, is it? Well, indeed there are thousands of reasons that obviously support this statement. And yet, there's something in us that makes us laugh and cry, something that simply moves us now and then without an evidence of reason. Our moods are often ruled by real life and sometimes just by that what is inside of us - the deepest soul. That's what I call the origin of romanticism. Our soul contains all the hope, love and views that seem to have got lost since mankind's arrival on earth. But it's still there - we only have to believe. 'Dialogue With A Rose' is a small poetry collection with about 102 poems; serious and romantic at the same time. They reflect a view that combines real life with thoughts from the heart.

Lorenz Filius, geb. 1965, wuchs in der Eifel auf und studierte Erziehungswissenschaft, Psychologie und Philosophie an der Universität Bonn. Nach seinem Studium arbeitete er als Dozent in der Erwachsenenbildung. Seit 1997 lebte er aus beruflichen Gründen jeweils mehrere Jahre in Stockholm und Brüssel. Zur Zeit wohnt er in Oslo, wo auch dieses Buch entstand.
