This book explores the potential role of socio-economic factors in creating the technology disparity between developed countries such as Australia, Britain and USA, and developing countries in Africa such as Ghana and Nigeria. Possibilities of using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in a way that will benefit society at large and vulnerable groups in particular are discussed within the wider framework of the variables which are socio-economic related. A very little academic literature exists on this new and promising field.
