Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Martin Rees tiene el título de Astronomer Royal (Astrónomo Real del Reino Unido) y es profesor emérito de Cosmología y Astrofísica en la Universidad de Cambridge. Autor y coautor de más de 500 trabajos de investigación y de ocho libros, está especializado en astrofísica de alta energía y en la formación de las primeras estrellas y galaxias. Entre los galardones internacionales que ha recibido Rees se cuentan el premio Balzan y el premio Einstein del Consejo Cultural Mundial.

Lisa Randall es profesora de Ciencias en la Universidad de Harvard y una reputada especialista en Física de partículas y Cosmología. Sus trabajos de investigación giran principalmente en torno a las dimensiones extraespaciales. Randall es miembro de la Academia Nacional de Ciencias, la Sociedad Filosófica y la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias, todas ellas de Estados Unidos. En 2007 formó parte de la lista de las cien personas más influyentes de la revista Time.

Lee R. Kump es profesor y jefe del departamento de Geociencias de la Universidad Estatal de Pensilvania. Es miembro de la Sociedad Geológica de Estados Unidos y Londres, y socio del Instituto de Astrobiología de la NASA y del Centro de Ciencias del Sistema Terrestre de la Universidad Estatal de Pensilvania. Tim Radford es periodista independiente y exeditor de ciencia del periódico The Guardian. Vicky Pope dirige el departamento de Integración y Crecimiento del Servicio Meteorológico del Reino Unido.
