Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Charles G. Martignette fue un marchante de arte y coleccionista de pinturas originales de ilustradores y artistas norteamericanos del siglo XX. Su galería en Hallandale Beach, Florida, alberga la colección más grande del mundo de ilustraciones artísticas comerciales. Desde 1975 publicó numerosos artículos sobre revistas, publicidad, calendarios, ediciones pulp y en rústica y arte glam y de pin-ups. Pinturas de su colección han sido exhibidas en el Instituto Smithsoniano, así como en muchos otros museos estadounidenses y europeos. Charles G. Martignette murió en 2008 en Hallandale, Florida.; Louis K. Meisel, dueño y director de una de las galerías más antiguas del Soho en Nueva York, ha publicado diversos libros y artículos sobre arte contemporáneo. Además de arte, colecciona obras de pin-ups.
