1995, 240pp. Illustrated. Cloth with dustjacket. 29,5 x 26 cm. In very good condition. Pakketzending. Prachtig fotoboek over oude Noord-Amerikaanse boerderijen en bedrijfsgebouwen. De eerste Amerikaanse kolonisten namen hun eigen bouwstijl uit West-Europa mee en pasten deze aan de lokale omstandigheden aan. Het grootste deel van het boek bestaat uit korte beschrijvingen van bestaande boerderijen (of delen daarvan), voornamelijk uit de achttiende en negentiende eeuw, daarnaast is er ook aandacht voor restauraties en hergebruik van oude gebouwen. De kleurenfoto's zijn groot, mooi, sfeervol en hebben een hoog VT-wonen gehalte. De informatie is niet erg diepgravend en nogal fragmentarisch. Mooi koffietafelboek. Artikel-Nr. 59250
