Buchbeschreibung Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Bettina Pousttchi (\*1971 in Mainz) is one of the most outstanding German artists of her generation. World Time Clock, on which she worked for eight years, is her most extensive project to date: the photographer travelled around the world in several stages, taking pictures of a public clock at five minutes before two at selected sites in twenty-four different time zones. The cities she visited included Cape Town, Dubai, Tashkent, New York, Sydney, and Mexico City. An exhibition of this world-spanning work on the political and social organization of time and space premiered at the Smithsonian Institution's Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C. The complete twenty-four part, large-format photo series was on display for ten months, in a 360-degree installation on an entire floor of the museum. The present catalogue documents this remarkable exhibition at one of the leading museums in the United States.Exhibition: Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington D.C. 9.6.2016-29.5.2017.
