Hardcover. Zustand: Near fine condition. First edition. Signed by Riebesehl on title page. Oblong Quarto. 226 (5)pp. Original anthracite boards with blind-stamped lettering on cover and spine, in original photo-illustrated dustjacket, black lettering on spine. Anthracite endpapers. Riebesehl is credited for reinvigorating documentary photography in Germany. Known for his photography depicting the typical North-German rural environment. "These laconic photos of a laconic landscape" (Peter Sager) were the beginning of Riebesehl's intensive artistic examination with the landscape in Northern Germany. Riebsehl was awarded the Lower Saxony Art Price in 2000 for these photographs. This lavishly illustrated monograph provides the first overview of Riebesehl's diverse photography. It includes early photos of Joseph Beuys from the series "Happenings," conceptual picture series like "People in Elevators," and self portraits as well as current landscape photography in b/w and color. The monograph features one hundred and seventy-six full page photographs, ten of them in color. Artikel-Nr. 50516
