In past few years there is a huge development in the field of broadband access technologies. Now a days user demands a network which provides high data rate with better flexibility at relatively lower cost. The FiWi network is one the such networks which provides broadband services with high bandwidth and flexibility at low cost. The main parameters considered under FiWi networks are Survivability, ONU Placement and Energy Saving. The present work focuses on survivability of an FiWi network and also presents an efficient solution for such problem.
