The research was carried out under supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ilyas at National Center of Excellence in Physical Chemistry University of Peshawar Pakistan. In this book synthesis and characterization of oxides of Mn, Co and Ni and investigation of their catalytic activities for oxidation reactions has been described. Prepared oxides were used as catalysts for oxidation of benzyl alcohol in aqueous and non-aqueous medium and for degradation of phenol and oxalic acid in aqueous medium.

Muhammad Saeed has completed his PhD in Heterogeneous Catalysis from National Center of Excellence in Physical Chemistry University of Peshawar Pakistan in 2011. Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry Government College University Faisalabad Pakistan.
