Fruit flies are regarded as one of the most dangerous pest to the horticultural industry throughout the world. Mainly pesticides are exploited for controlling fruit flies but these leads to lot of ecological and environmental concerns regarding health of biotic faunna including human. Due to this the focus is now shifting towards other control practice in which bio-control attain significant importance. The fruit flies parasitoid Dirhinus giffardii currently present in sufficient quantity in fruit flies prevailing areas but there is need to exploit it as bio-control agent through classical biological control technique. In this book the rearing of this parasitoid on fruit flies pupae is illustrated.
