The Book Surface Thermodynamic Approach to HIV-Blood Interaction is a novel research on the interaction mechanism of the human immunodeficiency virus and the lymphocytes (white blood cells). The interaction was mathematically modeled and actual measurements obtained using a UV-Spectrophotometer. The collected data were employed in conjuction with the Lifshitz formula to obtain an expression for the Hamaker coefficient of the interaction process. The positive sense of the absolute hamaker coefficient of the infected blood samples is indicative of the attraction between the virus and the blood cells. A critical value of the hamaker constant of the serum as the intervening medium was obtained. This value if correlated in terms of an additive or drug to the serum that will favour repulsion between the virus and the lymphocytes will be the much desired solution. This invariably would mean a negative hamaker coefficient for the entire interacting system.
