The present study was conducted to know the knowledge and adoption of improved practices in selected farming systems of Mandya district, Karnataka.The findings of the study revealed that 36.7 per cent of farmers belonged to medium knowledge categories in case of Paddy+Sugarcane+Dairy (farming system-I).Nearly fifty per cent (43.3%) of farmers had high knowledge with respect to Ragi+Tomato+Coconut+Agro-forestry (farming system-II). With regard to Ragi+ Dairy (farming system-III) fifty per cent of farmers had medium knowledge. This study helped to asses adoption of improved practices by the farming community.

Author obtained her MSc in 2010 from University of Agricultural Sciences,GKVK,Bangalore.Presently she is working as Agricultural officer, in the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Karnataka.She has published 5 research papers and 10 abstracts in various conferences/symposium.Her area of interest is integrated farming system studies.
