In this book, the development of many novel classical, optimal, Neuro-Fuzzy and gain scheduling controllers are described to allow linear and nonlinear, centralized and decentralized control of an active magnetic bearing. Problems of a rotor unbalance and disturbances are solved with a simple method called disturbance rejection. The results show that the suggested controllers can achieve stability and eliminate disturbances for active magnetic bearing.
